Oxford Ladies Golf
The Oxford University Ladies Golf Club (OULGC) has been in existence for over 20 years and, irrespective of whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, or your handicap, you are welcome to join us! The team plays matches during weekends of Michaelmas and Hilary Term from October to March. The fixture list is published under our 'Fixtures' tab and includes matches locally and at some of the best courses in the country. Throughout the season we hold regular team training sessions at our local driving range with professional, David Cook, and at the Oxford Golf Club. The highlight of the year is the Varsity Match against Cambridge in March with Blues, half-Blues, and Colours on offer. We are extremely excited to call ourselves Varsity winners after our first victory in seven years at the 22nd Ladies Varsity Match at Rye Golf Club 2019! For more details about our historic win, please go to our 'News' tab!
We also offer coaching for beginner and intermediate players throughout the year. These are held weekly at the driving range and on the course at Hinksey Heights GC. You don't need to have ever picked up a club before - these are tailored to complete novices as well as those looking to refresh their swings after time away from the fairways! The best way to get involved is to come along to our stall at the Freshers Fair and to follow our social media accounts for updates - Oxford University Ladies Golf on Facebook and @OULadiesGolf on Twitter.
Crucially, being part of the club is about more than just golf! We are a fun and friendly group of girls who are always keen to welcome as many new players as possible. We host a series of social events and team dinners throughout the year, some linked with the Blues and Divots team. So, if you are a student and interested in golf, this really is the place to be!
