ABOUT THE LADIES

The Oxford University Ladies Golf Club (OULGC) has been in existence for over 20 years, with a blues team comprised of passionate undergrad and postgrad golfers. The team plays matches during weekends of Michaelmas and Hilary Term from October to March. Our fixture list boasts matches at some of the best courses in the country including Royal Porthcawl, Sunningdale and Royal St George's. The highlight of the year is the Varsity Match against Cambridge in March with Blues and Half-blues on offer. We are extremely excited to call ourselves Varsity winners after our 8-1 victory in the 27th Ladies University Match at Rye Golf Club this year!

We also offer coaching for beginners and blues team players throughout the year. These are typically held weekly at the Oxford Golf Centre. Our beginners sessions are tailored to complete novices as well as those looking to refresh their swings after time away from the fairways! The best way to get involved is to come along to our stall at the Freshers Fair and to follow our instagram account for updates -  @oxfordladiesgolf

Crucially, being part of the club is about more than just golf! We are a fun and friendly group of girls who are always keen to welcome as many new players as possible. We host a series of social events and team dinners throughout the year, some linked with the Men's Blues and Divots team. So, if you are a student and interested in golf, this really is the place to be!

Many of the photos below are from this year's Varsity Match at Rye, taken by Glenmuir' James Sparkes @glenmuir1891, @thejmsparkes and @varsity1827. Thanks for capturing so many special moments!
